Explorers™ Sample Classroom Schedule

6:00-9:00 Open Learning Centers
As children arrive, they are free to explore a limited number of learning centers specified by the teacher.

AM Circle 1
This first Circle Time of the morning focuses on one of the Lifetime Adventures™ for the day and literacy.

Adventure Time
Children have the opportunity to explore and interact with materials in the learning centers. Children have experiences with journal writing during this block of time.

Snack Time
9:00-9:30 Playground
An important component that provides children with the opportunity to exercise and develop their large muscles.
10:00-11:00 Special Interest Areas
Children have the opportunity to explore and interact with materials in Nature's Nook™, Laboratory Lagoon™, Picture Paradise™, and Imagination Island™.
11:00-11:45 AM Circle 2
This second Circle Time of the morning focuses on math and science

Adventure Time
Children have the opportunity to explore and interact with materials in the learning centers. Children continue with journal writing during this block of time.
11:45-2:30 Lunch

Quiet Stories/Activities, Rest Time

Snack Time
2:30-3:00

Playground
Children have the opportunity to exercise and develop their large muscles.
3:00-4:00 Special Interest Areas
Children have the opportunity to explore and interact with materials in the Nature's Nook™, Laboratory Lagoon™, Picture Paradise™, and Imagination Island™.
4:00-6:00 Limited Learning Centers
As the day draws to a close, the children can play with toys, games, books and materials that are recommended by the teacher.
