Challengers™ Sample Classroom Schedule

6:00-9:00 Selected Learning Centers
Children arrive and begin the day with greetings, and selection of designated centers for free exploration
9:00-9:30 Morning Mapping
Children gather and plan the adventures for the day based on learning opportunities including journal writing, small group activities and preview special interest area visits.
9:30-10:30 Adventures Around the Room
Children implement activities based on the focus of the week encouraging citizenship, community and self.
10:30-11:00 Outdoor Adventures
Gross Motor development through group games, exercise and development of large muscles
11:00-12:00 Adventures Indoors
Teachers and children explore Sign and Spanish languages while infusing into the daily activities. Continuation of project work and games.
12:00-2:00

Children's Learning Adventures
Children experience Nature's Nook™, Laboratory Lagoon™, Picture Paradise™, Imagination Island™ and the Library for enhanced learning experiences.
2:00-3:15 Adventure Re-cap
Teachers and children enjoy conversation and dialogue re-visiting the learning of the day, on-going progress of projects and adventures for the following day.

3:15-3:45 Outdoor Adventures
Gross motor development through group games, exercise and development of large muscles.
3:45-5:45 Adventures in Moving to Music
Children have opportunities to perform plays, lip-sync, and demonstrate their acting abilities. On-going project work and implementation of daily arts and crafts.
5:45-6:30 Destination Home
Selected activities for the children to enhance social skills through games and adventure planning for the next day
