Voyagers™ Sample Classroom Schedule

6:00-9:00 Arrival
Greeting of families and Toddlers with hugs. Toddlers explore the learning centers that are open for them.
Circle time
Toddlers are invited to join in songs, finger plays and group activities.
Sharing Our Stories/Language and Library
Toddlers and teachers share stories and conversations to encourage language development.
9:00-9:30 Playground
Toddlers engage in stimulating outside activities.
10:00-11:30 Voyager's Beginning Exploration
An extended time for Toddlers to interact with the materials available throughout the classroom. During this time there is emphasis on:
  • Art and Sensory: Toddlers have daily opportunities to engage in hands-on art and sensory experiences.
  • Snack: Toddlers are offered a nutritional morning snack in accordance with local ordinances.
11:30-3:00 Self Help Skills, Lunch, Quiet Stories/Activities, Rest Time
Afternoon Snack
3:00-3:30 Playground
Toddlers engage in stimulating outside activities.
3:30-4:30

Extended Exploration
An extended time for Toddlers to interact with the materials available throughout the classroom. During this time there is emphasis on:

  • Hands-on Math: Toddlers use manipulatives to develop fine motor skills and explore early math concepts.
  • Circle Time: Another opportunity for children to gather and share favorite songs, stories and games.
4:30-6:30 Music and Movement/Large Muscle Development
Toddlers engage in activities (indoors or outdoors) that develop their large muscles through dance, active games, running and jumping.
Open Learning Centers
Another opportunity to interact with the toys and the materials in the classroom.
End of Day
Toddlers engage in developmentally appropriate activities as families arrive.
